Watch a video

To watch a video, simply click on the thumbnail in the video tab. This will open the video player window and the video will begin streaming to your computer.

Silverlight

Microsoft Silverlight must be installed on your computer before you can view videos. If your computer does not have Microsoft Silverlight you will be prompted to download it to your system. Microsoft screens will walk you through the process. You may be required to restart your computer.

Chapters

After clicking on a video that you want to watch, a new screen will appear. In the screen shot below, the video player and controls are in the RED box on the left side and, if applicable, a listing of sub-chapters will appear on the right side as shown in the GREEN box.

Buffering/Progress Bar

Due to the fact that all video files are high quality, you may experience interruptions in the viewing process. Factors include computer processors and memory, and Internet connection type and speed. If the player catches up with the streaming process, it may need to pause as more video is downloaded. You will see a message at the top of the viewer that says "Buffering." Please be patient; the video offered is worth the wait! Near the bottom of the player, just above the control bar, you will see a thin grey bar. This is your streaming progress bar, which lets you know how much of the video you have watched and how much is left.

In the screen shot below, the GREEN arrow points to the progress bar. The RED arrow below indicates the current progress of the video stream (light gray - portion loaded/dark gray - yet to load). The small white dot (ORANGE) and the blue area behind it is the portion of the video already viewed. In some videos you can click-and-drag the white dot backward and then release to review a portion of the video. This capability is not enabled if the video is one required by a governing body.

Controls

Controls for the current video are located at the bottom of the player. In the screen shot below the RED box highlights the player controls.

Search Videos/Plays

All videos are "tagged" with data that refers to the content of the clip. For example, a video might be tagged as Illegal shift , Mechanics, DPI, Referee, etc. You may click on an underlined tag at any time to pull up a library of all plays that have that tag. You may also enter words into the search bar and hit "enter" and a list of plays or videos matching that search will be available.

Navigation

At any time you can navigate to others areas of the site or hit the "back" or "refresh" button on your browser.
