June 14, 2017, Sandy, UT— Today ArbiterSports, a prominent leader in athletic event management, announced that it has signed an agreement for partnership with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to become the official eligibility, scheduling and payment solution for NCJCAA game officials starting with the association’s 2018 Division I Men’s / Women’s Basketball Championships.
“ArbiterSports understands the importance of providing quality registration, eligibility, training, scheduling and payment solutions for officials because it translates to a much better game experience for all participants,” said ArbiterSports President & CEO Jeff Triplette. “We are excited to have the opportunity to help the NJCAA improve its officiating program for its top division of men’s and women’s basketball and with the goal of adding additional sports to the platform in the years ahead.”
The extensive ArbiterSports suite will first be used by the NJCAA for the Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships to:
- Register, test and educate sports officials and verify their eligibility for
national championship tournaments
- Perform annual background checks of officials
- Coordinate scheduling of officiating assignments for NJCAA DI Championships
- Compensate officials for work electronically
- Allow officials to track assignments and payments via mobile app
“The partnership with ArbiterSports provides the NJCAA with an opportunity to improve our processes and recruitment of officials for the association’s national championships,” said NJCAA Associate Executive Director Mark Krug. “Based on the anticipated success of deploying ArbiterSports for the upcoming Division I basketball championships, the goal is to strategically expand the solution to other national championship events within the NJCAA.”
This agreement gives sports officials who register with the NJCAA, access to the ArbiterMobile app to keep current on their assignments, get notified of game changes and access their payment details anywhere.
