The SUP test is now available.

To help ensure every umpire has an equitable opportunity to demonstrate their rules and mechanics knowledge in order to meet the eligibility requirements for postseason, a few of the test questions were recently re-evaluated and adjusted. All completed tests are being reviewed, and those with discrepancies will be given credit.

If you have already completed taking the test, you will be notified if your score was affected.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.  Please contact Donna Vavrinec (dvavrinec@comcast.net) if you have questions.

    ADMINISTERING "OPTION" PLAYS - UPDATE

The protocol for administering option plays has been amended. I would like to thank all of the umpires and coordinators who contacted us concerning the protocol.    Working with Dee and the SUP staff this document has been updated.  If you have any other scenarios or questions please submit the “Ask Dee” form.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Click HERE for the "Option Plays Update" document.

The ONLINE CLINIC and Rules/Mechanics Test is NOW OPEN.

PLEASE VIEW THE CLINIC BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO TAKE THE TEST.

*** The clinic includes  valuable information needed for the test and this information is NOT included in the Manual or Rules Book.  Also review the CORRECTIONS documents for both the Manual and the Rules Book.

Registration is open.  Click on the REGISTRATION tab and follow the instructions.

The SUP will continue to update the Central Hub’s Home Plate throughout the season.  You will notice some changes in format but all of the valuable information will still be available to all softball constituents.

The rules test and the clinic will be available the second week in January. Please keep informed by viewing the Central Hub’s Home Plate as we update all information.

The rule book and CCA manual will be shipped via FedEx Ground.   Once the packet has been processed and ready for shipment, you will receive an email directly from FedEx (sender:TrackingUpdates@fedex) with the tracking number. This is a huge improvement from shipping via the US Postal Service.   Packets will be delivered much quicker—normally in less than 5 business days.  Since FedEx can’t deliver to a P.O. Box, anyone that has registered using a P.O. Box will be notified via email to obtain a physical street address.   When there is a question about a Packet’s delivery, Kelli Hontz will be the one to contact.  Her email is khontz@arbitersports.com.  Her phone is 317-438-5377.
