Thank you all for your work this season. While we still have work to do, I believe we have made progress in the area of officiating legal guarding position and the restricted area and I appreciate your focus in these areas. We will continue to work on these as well as court coverage, seeing and penalizing illegal contact, screens, rebounding activity and overall consistency. As we go through the NCAA tournament, the message has not changed. Everything we have addressed since September continues to hold the same importance. Thank you for your efforts to give our game your very best.

As we move into the NCAA tournament I thought it would be helpful for you to see how officials are selected and advanced through the NCAA tournament, so please go to the VIDEO Tab and view the video. Please understand that while the NCAA tournament is the goal for most officials, that there are many good officials who serve a significant role in our game that do not make the tournament because of the number of quality officials available and the limited number of spaces. This can be said of the teams who are trying to get into the tournament as well. Let's make an effort to encourage those were not selected and support those that were. We are still a team regardless of who plays and who sits.

Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.
