Final year of CWS at “The Blatt” 

TO ALL CWS UMPIRES:

In honor and recognition of the final year of the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium, NCAA Division I Baseball, NCAA Baseball Umpire Improvement Program and the CWS Management Committee would like to acknowledge all of the umpires who have worked the CWS in this historic and memorable era.

The event is being coordinated by former CWS Umpire and current NCAA UIP Regional Advisor, Dick Runchey.

RSVP deadline has passed...thank you to our 40 or so attendees!

Details of the event:  

Saturday June 26 – No planned activities. If playing golf on Sunday would advise arriving Saturday.

Sunday June 27 – Those golfing:tee off by 9:30 a.m. Cost $40 per golfer; please pay at course. Reception and dinner will be held at the Holiday Inn starting at 6:30 p.m. Informal; coat or tie not required.

Monday June 28 – Umpires and guests will take a bus to the game leaving the Holiday Inn Hotel at 4:30 p.m. Prior to the manager/umpire meeting at home plate, reunion umpires will march to behind the home plate area and be announced as a group to the crowd. Game time is 6:30 p.m. If you attended the 1999 50^th yr CWS anniversary we will follow same format. Game ticket will be provided as we depart from hotel.  After game we will be bussed back to hotel.

Tuesday June 29– Depart, check out 12:00 noon.
